About Us

The story of Ken and Amanda began about 5 years ago when Ken, a practical, funny, and long time teacher/pastor met Amanda, a dreamer, author and creative genius. Together they became the team that created The Rogue Mountain, a pop culture blog and podcast.

The Rogue Mountain is fueled by their love of all things Tolkien, Marvel and Star Wars (and so many others). The name is a beautiful combination of their love for Star Wars and Tolkien's, The Lonely Mountain.

Ken currently serves as a pastor in the United Methodist Church, and Amanda is a writer, although not full-time, she does have a day job that helps pay the bills.

They also have a 2 year old, Grace, who often serves as their assistant when she's not playing or sleeping, of course.
